Best gameplay tip

Keep your eyes off Other Guy’s copybook.

A personal note: For years I have heard my nonphysical friends giving me this advice, and I always thought “copybook” sounded quaint. I thought it was like a blue book for writing down exam responses. Only yesterday did I look it up.

A copybook is not a booklet for recording test answers. It is a booklet that already has everything in it for you. You simply trace over or copy what is already there. Each being has an effortless source of all they need to do right in front of them, and each being is given an effortless path to carry it out. Each being is entirely supported. It’s not a test, and it’s not a struggle.

It’s not that looking at Other Guy’s copybook is a wrongdoing; it’s that it confuses the hell out of you, every time. If you are peeking over at what is in Other Guy’s copybook, and trying to analyze and judge it, trying to compare it to what you have seen in your copybook and in the other copybooks you’ve examined, you’re going to be very confused. You are not capable of analyzing or assigning value to the contents of a copybook, to what other beings seem to be carrying out. It’s not one of the things you can do. You can, however, carry out what is in front of you.

This is the best gameplay tip we can give you as you seem to move through the physical: Keep your eyes off Other Guy’s copybook, and focus on carrying out what is in front of you. If you are looking at Other Guy’s copybook, you are not focusing upon what has been given you to carry out. It’s very simple. You can only focus on one thing at a time, and your happiness comes from keeping your attention on your own role.

So now that we have given you the very best gameplay tip, we invite you into the feeling of all-the-things-I-have-to-handle. When you are deep into the feeling of all-the-things-I-have-to-handle, you are fooling yourself. Your task is always very simple, and it’s never to handle innumerable things. If you don’t handle them, who will? The One of you, not the separate one of you. Only the separate one of you frets. If you are aware of any fretting, you are attempting to rely upon the unreal, and that can be very frustrating.

You always have a copybook in front of you. This is to say that you always have a very simple and straightforward assignment in front of you, and you are always supported in carrying it out. It is the same for everyone. No separate one ever has to handle innumerable things, but you can get caught up in a fantasy about being separate and about handling things alone.

When you are ensnared in a fantasy about handling things alone, you search for comforts–things that appear to alleviate the discomfort of being in charge or the anguish of feeling lost. You, as a separate one, are not in charge and never have been. You are unified, and you are held and guided. Let’s remember what is true and what is fantasy.

One of these comforts, especially as you enter the holiday season, is nostalgia. Nostalgia is going back into a perceived past to find a comfort that seems to emanate from the physical. Look at the origin of the word. From the Greek, we have nostos–return home. We also have algos–pain, the pain of homesickness. We suggest that you keep the return Home and that you jettison the pain.

Shift that point of comfort, of Home, into the Here, into the Now. What shines through an illusion of the past is not because of the past. Allow the past to go, and you still have the same comfort. The same light is here, and it has nothing to do with a form. It has nothing to do with repetition of the past.

When you allow your point of comfort to be Here and Now, freed from form and freed from the past, then you allow the light to shine so brightly that anything you need to do is laid out right in front of you, very clearly. As you keep your focus on this ever-present light, you are unable to look over at what is laid out in front of Other Guy to do. You are unable to judge anything that Other Guy appears to be doing. This is happiness. In this state, you are entirely free to appreciate Other Guy and to notice the beautiful light that is shining for her, exactly the same as it is shining for you.

When you are focusing on this light that shines regardless of time and place and form, you are unable to compare Other Guy to Another Guy. You are unable to compare Other Guy to yourself. You are, however, able to tune in and bask in the unity that you and Other Guy always have been.

We leave you with a gift. The gift of the ever-present Light can always be accepted, and the fantasy of the pain can always be released.

This night
We pray
Our lives
Will show

This dream
He had
Each child
Still knows

And another personal note: This gift relieves me of a pet peeve, yet another opinion I don’t need. I always felt annoyed when it would look to me like people were jumping the season, bringing up Christmas too soon. But I realize that it’s never too soon to allow time to be used to remind us of the Christ, the Oneness, and to allow ourselves to see it everywhere. 💚

      1. Love you, Leon!

I was thinking of you the other day. I have had two near-misses on the same stretch of highway with deer. Somehow I started speaking to the deer before and as I drive down that road, and somehow the universal deer representative is one deer I call Leon. So I chat to Leon about staying in the woods while I roll past.

I only recently made the connection between my deer friend Leon and my dear friend Leon. 😄💗🌼

      2. I know my woods, the highway too, the timing of it all… How would you be so very grateful for every single moment… How would you send them all sky-high, not just this friend you named me after, but every listening, feeling soul… I talk to you too, long before I hear this engine and this so loving human heart…
        Your universal Deer friend

I love you too, Julie… So, SO very much…
        Your universal dear friend
