Is Real

Picture this: Two missiles, airborne, one seeming to zoom from point A to point B, and one seeming to zoom from point B to point A. Look at them seeming to hold the clear blue sky together in one moment of stillness. You do not know anything about these objects. You do not know where they have been, where they are going, or what they are used for. They just seem to be here, suspended in sky. That’s it. Nothing else. You know nothing about them.

Now look at words in a conversation, suspended in the air. Nothing has been launched, and nothing has landed. We’re not looking at past and future. We’re looking at words in the air. You don’t know what words are, yet here they seem to be. You just look, with nothing from the past telling you anything about what you look upon. Look upon everything with no likely future. Hold it in the love that is actually here right now. It is enough.

Now look at the love of the Creator for the Created, extending forever. There is nothing of time or space here–only what is Real eternally. Here you are in what cannot be named, although words can help you look in the right direction. You have allowed yourself to recognize where you really are in this moment–not in a fantasy about time and space. Everyone and everything you call else is always here with you because you can never be parted.

Now take your transparent picture of the conversation, the words hanging in air, and set it down upon the light that shines through it. Take the transparent picture of sky holding missiles and set it down on the light that shines through it. Missiles, conversation, light. You decide what is Real here. You decide. When you are willing to admit that the light is real, you are willing to remember that the words and missiles are unreal.

But you are still seeing and hearing words and missiles–what of that? Now it is time to say, “Show me.” You have made all the little and separate things of the world with a mind that thinks separation is possible. And now you can say to the sane part of the mind, “Pick up all of these separate and little things that I have made, and use them to guide me home.” When you feel stress, you are picking up and holding these toys that you have made, attempting to make sense of them from an insane mind that believes unreality is true. Set all of your toys down and admit that you do not know anything about them. Allow sane mind to use your toys to point the way back to sanity.

If the conversation is real, the endless back and forth is real. If the missiles are real, then harm is real. If the light is real, then you can recognize everyone and everything as this light right now and put this light in charge of your perception. Perception can never be real, but corrected perception can escort you back to the full awareness of what Is Real Now.

We rest forever with you in the peace that is real here and now, and it is our joy to remind you.
