Miracles don’t change anything real, but they do change your perception. Anything that distresses you is not real, but it is a powerful illusion made with ego thought. Miracles show you what is real in a very reassuring way, and they are available to everyone at all times. Miracles are the true answers to the problems you perceive.

You don’t need to see surfaces of disorder, because under the disorder is divine order. When you see a surface of disorder, it is always possible to look underneath it. When you feel disturbed because you have been looking upon a surface of disorder, you can always stop and ask this:
What is Real here?

Take this question with you throughout your day, and you will be answered: What is Real here?

The sight of a sickness is just an attempt to deny the health that is shining underneath. You now know better than to confuse the reality with the surface. The sickness is the surface, and the reality is the beautiful being always present behind every shadow figure you see. Behind every suffering figure is a strong and shining presence. Look to this presence, and it guides you in all things. Give thanks for this presence, for it is your own.

When you focus on what is Real, you see symbols that affirm what is Real. You are walking through a dream of your making, and when you choose to see wise signposts affirming what is Real, you begin to see them. The power is always in your hands, and the power is always shared equally with all. Your only power is benign and harmless power. The power for harm that seems to be in the dream is only imagined. You don’t need defenses against an imaginary power. You only need to remember what is Real.

Looking upon all as they Are is helpful and inspires helpful action. Looking upon the pictures ego has made of all is just a temporary distraction. Do not be distracted by false surfaces. Find your willingness to see what is Real in all things and that is what you will see. You look in order to see, so see what is Real instead of that which frightens.
