The asking and the answer

The asking and the answer are in the same place.The problem you perceive is always what is covering up the solution. The solution to any problem perceived is allowed. In other words, it is already here. It is not invented. Recognizing the eternal presence of what takes solution’s form is putting all solutions in the hands of Spirit. If there is a part for you to play, it will be clear and obvious. You can allow all the little pieces to be put in place for you and for everyone you call other. This service is always available, and it can always be accepted. Nothing you perceive can be beyond it.

“Can you remind me of who I am?” is a helpful request to make. When you don’t feel good, you have forgotten who you are. You have also forgotten who everyone you call else is. A reminder will make everything clear for you and will send you on your way. It is entirely reasonable to ask for such reminders. Remember that it is always within your power to do so. When you ask, you are answered.

See ego thoughts getting in line to be set free by Spirit. Belief in ego thoughts is the cause of not-good feeling. As you recognize this cause and effect, you can give a steady succession of such thoughts to Spirit–to us, to who you really are. See the thoughts, which always lacked meaning and value, transformed into butterflies, being set free.

This is kind of like making room on your hard drive. As you let the untrue thoughts go, Spirit can make practical and helpful thoughts obvious to you. You can always tell yourself this: “I do not have to invent instructions. I can await instructions.”

There is a subtle difference here. You can accept ego thoughts about what you should do, and those thoughts come first. Or you can know that you don’t know, but guidance always comes. Guidance thoughts always appear after ego’s offerings. Ego’s instructions rush in on the wings of fear. Once you let that subside, you can see the very clear instructions of guidance shining, and you can follow them. You have every reason to stay calm, and you have every reason to wait.

Here is a thought of ego that can be exposed: If I go to God, God will entrap me and punish me. A few reminders will dispel this idea easily. You already are where God is. You’re just denying it. God doesn’t entrap. The idea of entrapment was invented by ego. God just is and is connected to you and all eternally. It is true that you cannot undo your eternal connection to and through God, and ego can reinterpret this as entrapment.

Notice this: If ego says that God is going to entrap you, ego is denying that you are already connected. and the connection is not anything that you can do anything about. Clearly, the ego is speaking nonsense, as it always does. Belief in this nonsense causes the perception that you are separate from one you call other. That doesn’t make it so. It just makes it a temporary perception.

Further, ego also says that God will punish you. Again, the whole idea of punishment is ego’s invention. God knows nothing of punishment. Punishment is not real and is therefore no part of knowledge. It is a facet of invention and therefore unreal. Unmask who ego says is God. Ego says you are a body, and who feeds thoughts that lead to the experience of death of the body? That would be ego. The only thing that can be punished is a body, and you are not a body. Once you see the nature of this nonsense trap, there is no need to step into it.

A body is a tool, and you are always in charge of whether ego or Spirit uses it. A body is a tool of ego’s invention, made for the experience of death, but that does not matter now. In Spirit’s hands, the body becomes a device for communicating love. Ego will step forward and begin to dictate how a body should communicate love, and you can just wait until Spirit tells you clearly. No matter what, the body will get used. It is always your decision that dictates which set of thoughts controls it. Sit back, wait for ego’s voice to subside, and see what use Spirit will make of the body. You are entirely safe in doing this.
