You love everyone

When your thoughts about someone veer into unhappiness, you can focus here:
I may be misperceiving them.
If I am misperceiving them, my perception can be corrected.
If I am misperceiving them, I am misperceiving myself.
If I am misperceiving myself, my perception can be corrected.
Perception correction is a service that is available to me at all times.

Perception is a thin upper layer. This layer is very changeable. Perception was originally made to cover up the vastness that is underneath it. As you come to trust the vastness, you allow the perception to be its direct effect. You come to trust the vastness by acknowledging it and visiting it.

Your moments of reorientation toward Spirit help you experience all as oriented toward Spirit. It helps you tune into their actuality and to stay resting at this level. When you have wandered off from your actual connection into illusion, you can feel it. There is an aspect of illusion that can feel relatively undisturbed, and this is what ego calls happiness. If you look, you can notice that this aspect inevitably gives way to that which seems very disturbing. Meanwhile, the actual Self you share with all is here, always prior to and beyond all disturbance. By learning to move your attention from the disturbance to what is actually here, you learn to rest in a place of helpfulness.

It’s like you are used to cramming yourself in a very small suit called control in order to feel safe. The more you can catch yourself in the act of cramming, the more you can take a moment to rely on resting on expansion. Resting in your actual Self, now you can see that this expansiveness and unity offers everything everyone needs.

There is nothing you have that everyone else doesn’t also have. All else is illusion. Ideas from Spirit come that guide you through and out of illusion. Ideas from ego keep you ensnared in the illusion and seeking security and satisfaction from it. You are in charge of the ideas you accept. Your feeling always tells you when you have accepted an idea that isn’t helpful to you.

Remember that in your being you love everyone, and it is not up to you to judge (and therefore attempt to control) how that is expressed. So what to do, what to do? Just notice. You can feel where you are not tuned into what provides a gentle flow for you, and you can always stop to address that. Think of your job as more about stopping than starting. When you stop frequently to address how you feel, the starting begins to take care of itself.

We never leave you, and you never leave us. Together is a resting place that provides everything you need.
