Practice 16 – I allow the Whole of us to decide

As you notice what seem like crossroads for decisions today, notice how you feel.  Is there any conflict, any judgment, any struggle?

Find a time for a three minute meditation. Begin by repeating:
I allow the Whole of us to make decisions

In saying that you allow the Whole of us to make decisions, you travel to True Self, which is shared identity. You bypass consultation with the false and separate identity of ego. When True Self makes decisions, all beings across time and space are included, because the heart of all beings is your heart. It is your peace, and it is your joy. You can allow peace and joy to make decisions.

When you allow decisions to come from peace, your decisions lead us all toward the highest good, and we thank you for this.

If you feel distracted while meditating, say to yourself:
I allow decisions for the highest good to be made through me.

Ego may kick up. Simply watch and return your focus to what you are when you can. Remember that ego is what you aren’t.

End the meditation by repeating:
I allow the Whole of us to make decisions

When you become aware of conflict over a decision, repeat to yourself:
I allow the Whole of us to make decisions

This simply sets a pattern of letting you know that you have an option that is beyond the struggle of the false self. When you remember this option more and more, you start to take advantage of it. This is the core of what every practice does. Each practice seems to approach the Whole from a different angle, but they all lead to the same place.
