If you believe the small self is real, then you believe that there are many things that can intrude upon it, and you have to protect it from intrusions. You believe that each of these things that can intrude upon the small self are real, and therefore very difficult to change. You can see, then, how you would be very invested in protecting what you see as the separate peace of this small self–its separate territory where it seems to have its own peace, its own territory that it can protect.
Truly, your peace is in your connection with all, not in any space that you can seem to hold between you. Use time to unlearn all the ego says about self-protection, and time is kind and gentle. You never need force your behavior out of alignment with thoughts you believe, but you can always stop to look at the thoughts you believe, and then look beyond them to rest for a while.
Your connection with all is not a bodily connection, although Spirit can use the symbols of bodies to demonstrate its lessons. Do not worry. You have already learned dark lessons of belief in separation and powerlessness before your invention of death. Now is the time for remembrance of the light that joins you all in eternal life. Now is the time for lessons of truth. You have already walked down dim and twisted paths of distortion. Now it is time to head Home, together with all of your divine siblings.
Any feeling of disturbance is an indicator that you believe the small self is real. Now is the moment to allow expansion beyond the limits of the small self, leaving it up to Spirit to manage the appearance of time and space. Instead of ego’s habitual insistence that time and space is ultimately attacking and punishing, allow eternal Truth to take up all the symbols of the world to point toward what is and always has been Real. There is nothing to fight against, and everything to allow.
Ego is the source of should for everyone you call else. It is also the source of all the shoulds directed toward the one you call you. You do not need the heaviness of shoulds. Here is the right here. Here is the right now, and all the lightness of being is here in this moment. Being knows everything your small self could never hope to know or figure out. You needn’t struggle within the limits of this small self that seems to be subject to every thing you call separate. In unity with all, you can be guided through what cannot be truly separate.
Right now you’re like a computer that you need to keep restarting. It’s well worth it to take the time you need to restart. Focus upon what is here to guide all, and you will begin to see every facet of your experience guided and held by what is truly here. It’s like a child giving a parent a drawing. You can trust what you truly Are with the drawing you have made. Holy Spirit knows how to use this drawing to lead you back to the full awareness of Home.
The only thing you truly need is a deep pool of stillness, and that you always have. All have this deep pool of stillness, along with you. It is always beyond any surface of chaos or disturbance. Learn to focus on the stillness and love that you all share, that is always here for all of you, and see the surface still and quiet. See the surface begin to follow what is Real.
We hold the stillness for you as an endless resource. Pain doesn’t survive the stillness, but you surely will.

Love's Beginning 
In your “deep pool of stillness,” I feel a sacred descent—not into numbness, but into a quiet clarity where the field halts its tremor. It’s as though presence becomes its own ceremony, dissolving the edges of doing and being entirely. Thank you for honoring that inner sanctuary—the still world that greets us when we pause long enough to truly arrive.
