What should happen to the dream

Ego says that its feeling of disturbance can guide you usefully within its illusion. Notice. Simply notice. Notice when the feeling of disturbance is present. Notice when reactivity prompts you to act or speak. Many, many times, there is no immediate need to speak or act. You have spaciousness. You have a moment or two to notice and to rest, however briefly. The guidance that breaks repetitive loops and show you reflections of what is true is here for you.

How flexible can you allow illusion to be? Illusion itself is not fixed. Ego sponsors the belief that illusion is fixed and predictable rather than chaotic. Ego instructs you to find your stability in the apparent predictability of the illusion. If the illusion wavers and presents a surface that ego calls unstable, there goes your perceived stability. Do not be fooled. Find your stability in what is far deeper than the flexibility of the illusion, and then you allow the flexibility of the illusion to be run by what you are together–sanity. Sanity and stability is what you truly share with all you call other beneath the surface of what you see, beneath the surface of what the ego evaluates. Rely upon this, and you depend upon what is both real and kind.

Now is a good time to feel and notice any thoughts about stuckness. Where you are looping in a repeating pattern, ego will be very quick to send thoughts of criticism and plans for improvement. Ego presents the I-know attitude. It knows what is wrong, and it knows what should change. Your job is to turn away from what pretends it knows. Your job is to provide some spaciousness, some rest. Into this nurturing environment, truly helpful thoughts are allowed to come. Provide the environment in which thoughts can help you, and that is exactly what they will do.

Closer than anything the ego would show you is your very Self. Ego shows you everything that would distract you away from the Self you share with all you call other. When you are actively willing to be reminded of the presence of this Self, Spirit is given the invitation it needs to work with you. When you are busy resisting, fighting, analyzing, and complaining, Spirit waits patiently. It is inevitable that you will want nothing more than to return to the awareness of your full Self. When you are ready, Spirit is here.

The ego doesn’t know what should happen to the dream. The ego says the dream is reality and sends you thoughts that represent knowing very specifically what the dream should and shouldn’t be. All the efforts and struggles upon which ego would have you embark consist of forcing the dream into the shape ego dictates it should have. If the dream doesn’t match that desired-for shape–all the better. Your sense of separate identity looms large when it seems you are victim to something. Your help always consists of turning entirely away from all of this and looking toward that which had nothing to do with the dream. When allowed, that which is real, that which had nothing to do with the dream, is allowed to use the dream to communicate lovingly with you. Thus, the dream becomes a means of loving communication.

You are in very good hands. You are eternally at peace in the light that shines behind everyone and everything, and we will show you how this is so.
