Joy is all beings, but misery is other people. This is not strictly true, of course, but it helps us make a point. When you feel misery, the people you are observing and experiencing are a projection of fear. Any one of them can extend love, however. The same is true for you. Believe in the existence of what can extend love, and you are believing in who you truly are with all you call other.
Do people extend love? Let’s say for now that people are the screen, and love extends from the being behind the screen of personhood through the other screens of personhood seemingly out there, to all the beings behind the personhood screens. Personhood is only a screen, and love extends easily and well through those porous screens.
Always see yourself walking along a road with everyone you call else, and see everyone being helped equally. If you are willing to allow the sight of all you call other being assisted in every way, you are willing to allow that experience in yourself. What you allow “out there” is very much what you experience “in here.” Allowing is a very simple thing. It is a state of mind that requires no effort. You only need effort when you have left this state of mind, obscuring it from yourself.
Ego sponsors bombardment of information. Both ego and Spirit can use information easily and well for their own purposes. You have to choose which information you want. If you choose ego’s information, you will see every character traveling along their own road, with competition and lack being normal facets of experience. If you choose Spirit’s information, it becomes obvious that you are traveling Home with all you call other upon the same road. There is no way to sever what you truly are from what they truly are, so of course you travel together.
As ego bombards you with information, it pulls your focus here, then there, and then over there, giving you different and conflicting information with one goal in mind–satisfaction of a separate self that it says you are. Spirit provides helpful information that is unified by the goal of blessing all. There is no separate self to satisfy, peace being the completely fulfilling nature of all. Spirit does not give you something you don’t have. It reminds you of what is already here and will never go away.
Think of your guidance as all coming from one place, the same place. The guidance that is available to inspire all is here to inspire you. As you accept and follow guidance, you make its gentle, loving voice audible to all you call other. Sharing in the following of one voice, there is no opposition among you. You do not need the ones you call other to do certain things for you to be at peace. You only need to allow the peace you are with those you call other to be in charge of your experience.

The quality of mercy is not strained. It flows. Your nature flows easily forth from the beingness that you are. The same is true for all. Mercy is not a quality of a person who is good enough to display it. It is what is most natural for all beings, and it flows easily through the screen of personhood as beings are willing to remember each other as beings. See all as being fully in possession of the same beautiful gifts you have, and you see the harmonic world you are here to bring forth.
