Truth is shining behind the thing ego says you want. You can take your gaze off what egos says you want, just for a moment. It is safe. You can notice the consequences ego predicts if you fail to make an effort to get what ego says you want. It predicts lack of peace, unhappiness, the unhappiness of others. Meanwhile, your peace, your happiness and the happiness of all you call other–it lies within.
You do not have to force your behavior. This only reinforces the phantom of ego, the illusion of autonomy. You can, however, stop to stare at exactly what the ego has told you. Become familiar with its scripts, and see those scripts as entirely outside who you are with everyone. Those scripts have nothing to do with any of you. Take these moments to remember, and the behavior you perceive as being yours and that of others takes care of itself.
To believe an ego thought is to chain yourself to hopelessness. This gives you every reason to stop when you experience the consequence of believing an ego thought. We promise you that every not-good feeling you have ever experienced has always been caused by a thought. It has never been caused by a reality. The power of learning to look toward reality–it is immense and also very safe. It is transformative, powerful, and very kind. and it is present with you all, within you all, as what all of you are, in every moment.
“Beyond” is a wonderful and helpful word. Beyond everything the ego tells you to value and to treat as real is everything that is actually real. As you learn to see the difference between illusion and reality, you become able to allow reality to determine illusion’s form. This is the basis of the miracle. Everyone has allowed miracles. Allowing miracles is your most natural function, even if you are unaware of what you are doing. Think of love as being very natural to everyone, and miracles being a natural part of love. We must take a moment to step aside from ego’s idea of love as getting. We are speaking of real love, which all already have and all already are. Miracles are a natural expression of real love. The difference now is that being aware of how unreal all of ego’s fictions are, you open the door wide to a constant stream of miracles that benefit all.
Don’t seek to find your answers in the illusion. The answer to anything is always in what you are. The only answer with any lasting effect comes from a simple orientation of mind. It is not manufactured nor brought about with effort. It is gifted to you because you are worthy. See all in this position. The answers anyone needs in any situation–they are easily available to all because of their true nature. All are worthy of the help that benefits all, and all are gifted with answers as they allow it. Your seeing the worthiness of those you call other communicates silently the extent to which they are loved and the benign power they always have. Your willingness to see causes the perception of all behavior–both yours and that of others. This is indeed a very different perception of cause and effect than what ego would offer. We help you to become familiar with it and to trust it.
In being single-minded, everything you need will be provided for you. Ego says that you need things, and these come if you work hard, if you are clever or if you are fortunate. In truth, you need nothing, but anything you seem to need in illusion is provided easily in alignment with your willingness to move through and out of illusion while being truly helpful to those you call other. Ego has many things to say about the ideals related to helpfulness, but this is nothing you need to understand or keep track of. Your true nature and that of all is helpfulness. Your only job is to allow it to unfold in obvious ways.
All of this is much easier than ego would tell you it is. Your opportunity now is to remember that effort can be turned toward remaining aware of how you feel and being committed to reorienting toward reality whenever you notice you are believing ego’s thoughts. Ego’s thoughts blank out what is truly here, and you have no reason to hold back the loving influence of what is truly here. Remember what is real, and allow. That is enough.
