Think of the words “my appearance” versus “an appearance.” If you take ownership of an appearance, saying that it is yours, how does that work? Does appearance become personal, reflecting the qualities of a separate, cut off identity, or can appearance become universal, reflecting a harmonic version of the qualities all share? Is there any reason not to allow everyone and everything to appear as a direct reflection of what is universal and true? When you don’t feel good, you are finding a reason to block appearances that would sing to you and remind you of the goodness-without-opposite that you all share. This is easily corrected as you allow it.
Spirit can take it from here, however any “here” seems to be. No matter what the appearance of someone or something, no matter what its anticipated future seems to be, you can give Spirit full charge of what you see and how you respond. If you are willing to allow everyone and everything to appear as a reflection of our oneness, it is important that you place everything in Spirit’s hands to handle. Your feeling will tell you when you have separated off an aspect of what you see and experience and effort toward controlling that one separate thing. Think of a day as a safe workshop in which you learn to relinquish every idea of needing to control separate things.
Spirit can use everything to remind you of God. If you give everything into Spirit’s hands, there are so many reminders you can receive and experience–reminders of the goodness-without opposite that you all are together. If it seems to you that the world around you reminds you of disorder and confusion, then begin by finding one thought you believe about it. As you set down this thought and turn toward the remembrance of what you truly are with everyone and everything, the repeating loops of experience that you have had going slow and stop. The world is given a chance to show you what has truly been here behind all surfaces the whole time.
When you become aware that you are intent on something being fixed and immovable instead of a conduit that can remind you of God, you have a chance to remember your Self and all you call other as they are. Your feeling tells you. Are you intent upon seeing bad news to justify its opposite of good news, or are you allowing yourself to see the good news that benefits all equally? It is not a sin to acknowledge the presence of goodness without opposite. It is not a violation of anything sacred or holy to allow the goodness-without-opposite that is the eternal truth of all of you to shine forth.
Ego’s pen and paintbrush can tell the story, or Spirit’s pen and paintbrush can tell the story. Ego’s story is noisy and dramatic, focused on destruction. Spirit’s story is calm, beautiful, renewing. It reveals the deep gratitude that is always present within you and all. You always get to choose the story in which you appear, the story you experience, the story you see others experiencing. You are that powerful because all are that powerful.
We rest here with you in great power shared by all, and now you can see how easy it is to allow this power that all are to be in charge.
